What Can We Do?
Dental Hygiene
Preventive and therapeutic care:
• Ultrasonic denture care
• Fluoride varnish application
• Oral hygiene instruction (natural teeth and dentures)
• Nutritional counselling
• Smoking cessation counselling
• Oral cancer self-exam education to predisposed clients
• Oral health service navigation
Dentistry
• General health education and promotion
• Oral health education and promotion (oral hygiene instructions, denture care, eating habits, smoking cessation)
• Client support and management (vital signs, record history, comfort, assist)
• Oral health service navigation, and assistance in enrolment in federal dental plan
• Basic history and limited physical intraoral and extra oral exploration (e.g. head and neck, intra-oral exams, cancer screenings)
• Applying fluoride varnish.

What Can We Do?
Medical
- Health assessment: history and physical examination.
- Discuss a treatment plan
- Client education regarding strategies for health promotion and disease/injury prevention
Nursing
- Conduct indicated physical exams, including blood glucose monitoring, monitoring vitals, etc.
- Client interview: client identification, chief complaint, allergies and medications
- Will be knowledgeable of available community resources, and make suggestions to clients as needed for further care
- Record interdisciplinary progress notes for each client seen
- Minor wound care

What Can We Do?
- Presentations on general, specific or clinical nutrition topics to various groups
- Develop resources on general, specific, or clinical nutrition topics (pamphlets, displays, posters, handouts, games, activities, etc.)
- Answer general nutrition questions
- Nutrition assessment and counselling on general nutrition or selected clinical conditions

What Can We Do?
- Gather health and medication information from clients who have not achieved goals of therapy to understand the client’s personal drug experience/history and preferences/beliefs
- Assess each client medication for appropriateness, effectiveness, safety (including drug interactions), and adherence
- Identify and prioritize actual and potential drug-related problems
- Develop a pharmacy care plan with recommended steps, including therapeutic changes needed to achieve optimal outcomes
- Conduct and document follow-up evaluations with clients to determine effects of changes, reassess actual outcomes and recommend further therapeutic changes
- Direct clients to appropriate health resources as needed
- Advocate for clients as necessary

What Can We Do?
Interview clients to determine occupational performance issues
Advocate for occupational potential, occupational performance, and occupational engagement of clients
Assess and provide interventions for range of motion, strength, and endurance
Administer and score basic cognitive and some standardized testing
Synthesize assessment findings and reasoning to develop a targeted action plan
Assess mobility and provide fitting and skills training for canes, walkers and wheelchairs
Assess and provide interventions for ADLs ( Activities of Daily Living)
